I am a Ph.D. student in Health Services Research and Policy at University of Pittsburgh, supervised by Prof. Lindsay M. Sabik and Bruce L. Jacobs. My research broadly focuses on how health system organization, geographic factors, and social context influence patients’ access to and quality of care. I am particularly interested in understanding disparities in healthcare delivery and developing evidence to inform more equitable and efficient health system design. Before beginning my doctoral studies, I earned an M.S. in Applied Statistics from the University of Michigan, where I was a member of the Center for Healthcare Engineering and Patient Safety (CHEPS) led by Prof. Amy M. Cohn. My time at CHEPS strengthened my interest in quantitative and systems-based approaches to improving healthcare delivery. Outside of research, I enjoy hiking and traveling, often finding inspiration in the connection between place, access, and human experience. |

My research lies at the intersection of health services research, health policy, and applied quantitative methods, with a focus on improving equity and efficiency in healthcare delivery. I am particularly interested in how system organization, geographic context, and social determinants of health influence where and how patients receive care. Methodologically, I apply multilevel and mixed-effects models, causal inference approaches, and large-scale data linkages to study variations in healthcare access, utilization, and outcomes. Substantively, my work explores topics such as care centralization, telemedicine adoption, and policy evaluation in oncology and other complex care settings. Ultimately, my goal is to generate evidence that informs policies and system-level interventions to reduce disparities and promote equitable access to high-quality care.
